Ridgeland police arrest a Jackson man on car burglary and statutory rape charges

RIDGELAND, Miss. (WLBT) – A Jackson man is being held at the Madison County Detention Center Tuesday after being arrested on outstanding warrants.

On Tuesday, the Ridgeland Police Department announced that Davion Amari Crooks, 22, was arrested following a traffic stop near Marketridge Drive and Cole Road.

Crooks was adamant that Ridgeland had an active warrant for auto burglary.

He was also wanted by the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department on a statutory rape charge.

The suspect was taken to the Madison County Detention Center.
