NEW: Gabe Evans repeatedly refuses to take a stand against child abuse

In today’s debate on 9News, Gabe Evans was asked when it is acceptable to hit children at home or at school – and he repeatedly refused to say that he opposed adults hitting children when urged three times.

Evans is a member of the Heritage Defense, which defends parents accused of hitting their children and specifically advocates for “corporal punishment.” In the state legislature, Evans voted against a ban on corporal punishment in Colorado public schools. It couldn’t be clearer that Evans poses a threat to the safety of Colorado children.
