According to the agency, a Plaquemines community representative was injured in a vehicle accident

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured in a car accident while on duty in the Belle Chasse area on Tuesday (Oct. 8), the agency said.

The deputy’s identity, medical condition and injuries were not released, nor was the time, location or circumstances of the accident.

Capt. Chaun Domingue, spokesman for the PPSO, said the injured attorney was being treated at University Medical Center in New Orleans and his condition was unclear.

“Please take a moment to pray for a PPSO deputy who was involved in a car accident,” the agency said in a Facebook post around 7:15 p.m

New Orleans police helped clear traffic at Claiborne and Tulane avenues around 6:45 p.m. for an ambulance that took the injured deputy to University Medical Center for emergency treatment.
