Norwalk man arrested in connection with investigation into sexual assault of a minor

NORWALK, CT (WFSB) – A Norwalk man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a sexual assault investigation against a minor.

The Norwalk Police Department’s Special Victims Unit took 54-year-old Edgar Teque-Ramirez into custody after a several-month investigation that revealed reasonable probable cause in the case.

The incident occurred in 2021 involving Teque-Ramirez and a minor.

Teque-Ramirez was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child.

He is currently being held on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 8, 2024.
