Rockford University reports its largest freshman class on record

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockford University marks a new milestone with a class of 215 freshmen for the fall 2024 semester.

According to the private university, this is the largest freshman class of all time.

“This achievement is a testament to the commitment of our faculty and staff and to the growing appeal of Rockford University’s distinctive programs and vibrant campus life. We look forward to seeing these students thrive as they contribute to our campus community,” said Dr. Patricia Lynott, President of Rockford University.

The freshman class includes 214 full-time students and one part-time student. According to the university, 126 of the 215 are also athletes.

Last fall, 191 full-time freshmen entered the university. There were 168 first-year students in fall 2022, and 193 first-year students started in fall 2021.
