Police released bodycam footage from an Oklahoma City home where two children were found covered in feces last month.

Officers were called to the home for a welfare check.

Upon arrival, police found 24-year-old Dakota Dodd inside the home and discovered the deplorable living conditions.

Dodd then took officers upstairs to see the children, ages 4 and 3.

The children were naked in a room whose walls were smeared with feces.

Feces could also be seen on the fingernails, palms, feet, legs and faces. According to an affidavit, the feces appeared to be dried out and not fresh.

The bedroom floor was carpeted and covered in feces.

Police believe the feces came from humans.

Later, 22-year-old Aubrianna Freeman arrived at the scene with her 11-month-old child.

The affidavit said Dodd and Freeman were the only two adults living in the home with three children.

According to reports, Freeman is the mother of all three children and Dodd is the biological father of the infant and the stepfather of the three-year-old and four-year-old.

The affidavit states that a search warrant was written and signed by an Oklahoma County judge.

Investigators at the crime scene reportedly had to wear protective gear to search the home because of the feces and urine. According to investigators, the smell was overwhelming.

Freeman told officers that the two older children were locked in the upstairs bedroom for no more than two hours each day.

However, Dodd told them something completely different.

He told officers that the three-year-old and four-year-old were locked in the bedroom for at least 12 hours a day and overnight to ensure Freeman could sleep and to ensure the children’s safety due to the neighborhood.

Freeman and Dodd told officers that the toddler was sleeping in the pack-n-play in their bedroom.

Freeman said she would allow the infant to play with the older two in the upstairs bedroom. She also said she cleaned the house “well enough to pass DHS inspections.”

Dodd and Freeman both said the children’s living conditions were negligible.

According to the affidavit, Dodd believes the children would do better in DHS care.

Dodd and Freeman were arrested and each face multiple counts of child neglect.
