A man killed in a double shooting in the Florida neighborhood Saturday afternoon was identified Monday by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office.

Officers responded to a call in the 2300 block of Louisa Street around 2 p.m., where they found 42-year-old Stanley Williams and another unidentified man with gunshot wounds. According to the New Orleans Police Department, paramedics took the two men to the hospital, where Williams later died.

After further investigation, investigators learned that Williams and the other victim drove to the 2300 block of Louisa Street where they were approached by an unknown suspect. Officials believe the suspect fired shots after an argument broke out between the three.

The NOPD said Saturday afternoon that the surviving victim was in stable condition. The police initially did not release any further information.
