Georgia’s Consumer Protection Division investigating price gouging reports

GEORGIA (WTOC) – According to the Georgia’s Consumer Protection Division, the Attorney general’s office has been made aware of reports of price gouging for lodging across South Georgia.

They say Georgia’s State of Emergency does include lodging costs, so under the state of emergency, price gouging is prohibited.

The Georgia Consumer Protection Division says they will be looking into these reports of higher prices for lodging, and if you notice any, you’re asked to report it.

You can call Consumer Complaints at 404.651.8600 or go online.
