19-year-old killed in ATV accident – The Interior Journal

A 19-year-old died in an ATV accident early Saturday morning.

Lincoln County Coroner Farris Marcum said Aden Jones of Indianapolis was pronounced dead about 1:45 a.m. on Trusty Road in McKinney.

“Jones had come to Kentucky with his parents to view property they owned on Trusty Road,” Marcum said. “They were out for about a day looking at properties, which they do quite often.”

Jones left the property in a four-wheel drive vehicle and drove north on Trusty Road.

“At some point he lost control of his ATV, rolled it over and it came to rest on top of him,” Marcum said.

Jones’ parents became concerned when he didn’t return and went looking for him, the coroner said.

The investigation is currently ongoing. Alcohol is believed to have contributed to the accident, Marcum said.
