25-year-old caught stabbing man in Massapequa

The incident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on Monday, October 7, in Massapequa, near the intersection of Polo and Oxford streets.

According to Nassau County police, a 22-year-old man and a 25-year-old man got into an argument before the older man stabbed the victim in his torso and arm. He then fled the scene in an SUV.

The victim was taken to a hospital where his condition was stable.

Officers later located the suspect, Joseph Fochi of North Massapequa, and arrested him without incident.

Fochi is charged with second-degree assault. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in First District Court in Hempstead.
