Sumter Co. officers are investigating after a child was injured after shots were fired at his home

SUMTER, SC (WOLO) – In Sumter County, Sumter County deputies say a child is in critical condition after shots were fired at a home.
According to deputies, multiple shots were fired at the home between West Brewington Road and Thomas Sumter Highway around 1:42 a.m. Monday morning.
Investigators said officers on patrol heard the shots and a 911 call led them to the home, where family members said the child had been hit.

Investigators say they are reviewing evidence and witness statements to identify the person or people responsible for shooting the child.
