Laredo police arrest driver after multi-vehicle hit-and-run

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – A 39-year-old man was arrested Monday evening, October 7, after he hit several cars and fled the scene on McPherson Road, Laredo police said.

At approximately 8:40 p.m., Laredo Police responded to reports of the accident in the 4500 block of McPherson Road. The victim said a Dodge Durango hit his car and then drove away. The victim followed the Durango and saw it crash into another car at the intersection of Saunders Street and McPherson Road.

After that accident, the Durango attempted to reverse and crashed into a third car, police said. It eventually stopped in the 4500 block of McPherson Road when it could no longer move.

Officers arrested the driver, Victor Balderas Martinez, who exhibited signs of intoxication. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and three counts of vehicle damage accident.
