The Winnipeg Jets are hosting the third annual Child Advocacy Game in support of the Toba Center

WINNIPEG – True North Sports + Entertainment and the Winnipeg Jets continue to support and promote children’s rights organization Toba Center through the team’s Child Advocacy Game on Sunday, October 13, in recognition of Child Advocacy Month.

Child Advocacy Month recognizes children and families affected by child abuse and neglect and emphasizes the need to provide them with support and resources. #GoBlueToba, the Toba Centre’s October campaign, raises awareness of this important issue and hopes to inspire conversation and change.

Fans are encouraged to #GoBlueToba and show their support even more by dressing in blue at the Child Advocacy Game. The Canada Life Center will be lit blue and the Winnipeg Jets will host a special pre-game puck drop and check presentation in support of the Toba Centre.

The Toba Centre’s “support dogs”, DWW Duke and DWW Booster, who support the children, young people and families who visit the center, will be in the hall during the game to meet the fans. Duke and Booster also return to center ice to participate in the ceremonial puck drop.

Jets captain Adam Lowry has served as an ambassador for the Toba Center for the past two years and volunteers at the center year-round to support their work, advocate for children and raise awareness of their cause.
