Police investigate fatal shooting in Roxbury – Boston News, Weather, Sports

BOSTON (WHDH) – One person died and three other people were also taken to area hospitals following a shooting in Roxbury early Tuesday morning, officials said.

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. on Hammond Street

A Boston Police spokesman said officers responded and found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency responders transported the man to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A Boston EMS spokesman said responders took a total of four patients to the hospital, but did not say whether anyone other than the deceased had been shot.

Emergency crews were at the scene for several hours Tuesday morning, placing caution tape around the apparent scene of the shooting. A bullet hole could be seen in a window.

Boston police said the investigation into the incident around 7 a.m. was still ongoing
