Car fire and two-vehicle accident reported on RT. 611 in Doylestown

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Doylestown Township Police Department responded to a vehicle fire and a two-vehicle collision late Monday afternoon.

Doylestown Township police said northbound Route 611 was closed at State Street around 5 p.m. Monday due to a vehicle fire near the highway exit.

According to police, the road was reopened half an hour later.

Meanwhile, police were also investigating a two-vehicle crash in the center lane of Easton Road north of Edison-Furlong Road around 5:45 p.m. Monday. Traffic was backed up in the area.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
