15-year-old girl sexually exploited by Anas, Yusuf and Moman Ali, victim found six months pregnant

Three people have been arrested by police in connection with the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl in Kozhikode district of Kerala. The accused trio, identified as Mohammed Anas, Yusuf and Moman Ali, allegedly gang-raped the minor girl in Kozhikode for a long time, during which she became six months pregnant.

The accused people were arrested. It is reported that Anas, Moman and Yusuf already knew the victim’s mother and used her to sexually abuse the underage girl.

The incident took place at Mukkam police station in Kozhikode where the mother of a minor girl lodged a police complaint against Yunus, Anas and Moman, alleging that the trio gang-raped her daughter. The victim’s mother said her daughter was a high school student and had been suffering from stomach pain for several days. When the victim’s mother did her medical examination, she discovered that she was six months pregnant. During questioning, the daughter informed her mother about the crimes of Mohammed Anas, Yusuf and Moman Ali. The complaint states that the trio of defendants were acquaintances of the victim’s mother.

Notably, among the accused rapists, Mohammed Anas and Yusuf are residents of Areekode Uranggiri in Malappuram, Kerala, while Moman Ali came to Kerala from Assam to work as a labourer. The accused trio were arrested and police said action was taken against them under relevant sections as well as the POCSO Act. The three accused were produced before the Thamarassery court and the court sent the three accused to police custody for detailed questioning.

Meanwhile, the minor victim is being counseled and taken to Thiruvananthapuram Child Care for treatment. There are suspicions that other people may be involved in this crime and the police are investigating the matter.
