The investigative committee has initiated criminal proceedings against Platform 2025

The Investigative Committee claims to have “identified 22 additional people who joined the activities of Tikhanovskaya and her supporters in order to seize state power in Belarus in an unconstitutional manner.” They were considered suspects under Article 357 Part 1 of the Criminal Code (conspiracy or other actions with the aim of seizing power) are recognized.

In addition, according to the Investigative Committee, 23 people were identified who took part in meetings organized in various countries by Belarusians abroad. They were suspected in a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 361-1 of the Criminal Code (participation in an extremist formation).

As Nasha Niva As already mentioned, Platform 2025 is a document signed at the New Belarus conference in August. It outlined the main goals for the future election campaign. These include the non-recognition of the “presidential elections” by the global community, work to release political prisoners, and increased efforts to hire officials who will support the country’s democratic future.
