1 dead, 1 injured in Horry County crash on Rivers Oak Drive

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Horry County Monday morning.

One person died and another person was injured in a collision around 10:21 a.m. on River Oaks Drive, according to Corporal Nicholas Pye.

Corporal Pye said a 2015 Ford sedan was traveling north on River Oaks Drive when it collided with a 2012 Honda sedan. In this collision, the Ford sedan then crashed into a 2022 Volkswagen SUV.

The driver of the 2015 Ford sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the 2015 Ford sedan died.

The driver of the Volkswagen SUV was taken to hospital for treatment.

The Horry County Coroner’s Office will release additional information about the deceased.
