Kerry Katona says she is ‘too scared to go out’ after being robbed during a romantic hotel stay in Mayfair, recounting the terrifying ordeal

Kerry Katona was “too scared to go out” after she was robbed while staying at a plush hotel in Mayfair last week.

The former Atomic Kitten star, 44, said “thousands” of her designer items, including her Gucci luggage, were stolen when she dropped off her luggage with the hotel concierge.

The horrific ordeal is described in detail in her new! In a column in the magazine, Kerry said she and her fiancé Ryan Mahoney stopped by for lunch while they waited for their room to be ready.

She wrote: “Ryan and I checked into the hotel, which I won’t name, and since our room wasn’t ready, we left our luggage with the concierge and grabbed some lunch.”

“It was so triggering for me and I felt emotional afterwards, it’s just so scary to think that you’re not safe.”

“When something like this happens, I’m afraid to go out because I don’t want to be targeted.”

Kerry said her £1,200 Gucci holdall, medication for chronic back pain, her phone and headphones were among the items stolen.

This comes after Kerry denied taking drugs at Hugh Grant’s birthday party.

Kerry was a surprise attendee at Hugh’s 64th birthday celebrations alongside the likes of Liz Hurley and Dame Joan Collins.

Shortly afterwards, she posted a video on her Instagram story in which she was seen “making jokes” with celebrities, but was horrified when her followers accused her of being under the influence of alcohol.

Write in her new! In her column in the magazine she said: “We had a great chat, he’s so lovely.” I went to bed around 10.30am, I can never manage a long night.

“Although the next morning I posted a video on my Instagram joking and just chatting and so many people commented that I was drunk or on drugs!”

The former Loose Women panellist has struggled with addiction in the past and revealed earlier this year that she had undergone reconstructive surgery to combat the damage caused by cocaine.

Kerry was married to Westlife singer Brian McFadden from 2002 to 2006 and has 22-year-old Molly and 21-year-old Lilly-Sue with her, but later also Heidi (17) and Max (16) with her second husband Mark Croft .

She also has daughter DJ, nine, with the late George Kay, but only attended the glittering evening with Molly and Heidi.

The former: I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! The winner has spoken about her addiction problems in the past and previously went to rehab in 2008 and 2010.

But she has now been proud to be sober for 15 years and insists she “can’t sit with regret” moving on.

As she demonstrated the results of the operation to Good Morning Britain presenters Ranvir Singh and Richard Madeley, she explained that it was her mother who first gave her medication as a young teenager.

Of her addiction, she explained: “I think cocaine became my crutch, it was my best friend, it gave me the support I needed when I needed it.”

“I didn’t do it every day, I was more of a glutton – once I started I couldn’t stop.” And then I could go months without it. It just became my best friend because literally everyone was using me.’

Describing how addicted she was at the time, she admitted: “At one point I actually overdosed, then got back up and immediately did another line of cocaine.”

Kerry recalled: “I started doing drugs when I was 14, before I was famous.” I took my first drug with my mother.

“I adore my mother and I love my mother, but we had our ups and downs and my mother wasn’t really a mother. “She told me it was sherbet and it was speed and I thought that was normal!”

However, she continued that she had put her past behind her, saying: “My mother wasn’t doing very well.” It is what it is, it happened. I can’t sit with regret and hate.

“I have to accept the people that exist.” My mother is drug-free. But for a very long time I lived in a pity party, saying, “Poor me, the world owes me, it’s everyone’s fault but me.”
