At least one dead in rescue helicopter crash in Kentucky

OWEN COUNTY, Ky. – Emergency responders responded to a medical helicopter crash in Owen County on Oct. 7.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said WLWT that the helicopter involved was Air Evac Lifeteam 133, operating out of Williamstown, Kentucky.

Officials have confirmed that at least one person died in the crash. However, details about the cause of the helicopter crash have not yet been released.

A social media post from the Owenton, Owen County Volunteer Fire and Owen County Search & Rescue departments stated that crews responded and that a federal investigation was ongoing.
