Tragic scooter accident claims lives of two youth in Thiruvananthapuram | Thiruvananthapuram News

Thiruvananthapuram: Two youths died in a road accident on Monday Kilimanoor after her scooter rammed a pickup truck parked on the side of the road.
The deceased are Ani (40) and Ranju (35) from Pezhumkunnu near Pulimath. They were also friends and neighbors.
According to Kilimanoor police, the accident occurred around 2 am at Pulimath junction when the speeding scooter hit the truck and lost control. They suffered serious head injuries.
Local residents said this was the case heavy rain at the time, which may have resulted in poor visibility of the road. The duo died on the spot due to the force of the collision. Although they were shifted to the Medical College Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, they were declared dead on arrival.
On Monday evening, the bodies were handed over to relatives after an autopsy.
Ani was a rubber cutter while Ranju was a gardener at Sainik School in Kazhakkoottam. They returned home from Karette.
Ani is survived by his wife Geetha and two sons, Ananthu and Anu. Ranju is survived by his wife Athira and son Arnav.
