Child and man shot and wounded in shooting in West Pullman

A child and a man were injured in a shooting in West Pullman Monday night, Chicago police said.

A 27-year-old man and a 7-year-old boy were inside a residence in the 11600 block of South Yale Avenue at 9:06 p.m. when someone in a white Audi sedan fired shots in the street, police said. The 7-year-old was shot in the back and grazed in the head.

He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition; The man was shot multiple times in the chest and arm and was also taken to Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

Nobody is in custody.
