A woman is dead after she was struck by a vehicle near Ocala

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Ocala police officers say a woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle this evening.

According to authorities, the accident occurred at the intersection of Southwest 27th Avenue and 34th Street, near the Palm Garden Home Health rehab site.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital, where she later died.

Officials are investigating the cause of the accident.
