MANCHESTER, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) – A 63-year-old man was found dead after a house fire early Monday morning in Manchester, Michigan.

At approximately 4 a.m., Manchester Township Fire Department responded to the 100 block of Riverside Street and discovered a severe fire had broken out in the rear of the home, affecting the garage and an adjacent garage.

“The initial search for victims was complicated due to the involvement of the fire. After the fire was deemed under control, a second search was conducted during which a 63-year-old man was found and pronounced dead at the scene,” the fire department said in a message release.
