“Share and Scare” costume drive premieres in Shawneetown

SHAWNEETOWN, Ill. (KFVS) – A brand new event is coming to southern Illinois to help more kids and families have spooky fun this Halloween.

The Southern Illinois Resource and Advocacy Center (SIRAC) is hosting a costume share and scare event.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the spirit of Shawneetown’s Halloween Carnival.

You can help by donating used costumes through October 16th.

They are collecting costumes of various sizes, from toddlers to adults, and if you can’t be there in person, the organizers tell us you can send your costumes by mail.
