Viking woman injured in car accident

One person was injured in a car accident in Marshall County over the weekend.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Tiffany Lynn Nelson, 30, of Viking, was injured when the eastbound 2007 GMC Yukon went into the ditch on Highway 1 at 380th Avenue North in Warren.

Nelson was taken to Altru Grand Forks and treated for his injuries, which emergency responders at the scene described as non-life-threatening. Nelson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, which was reported just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
