Kerry Katona ‘too scared to go out’ after robbery while staying at a hotel | Celebrity News | Showbiz and television

Kerry Katona has revealed she is “too scared to go out” after a frightening robbery at a luxury hotel in Mayfair.

The former Atomic Kitten singer, 44, was left shocked when her designer items worth “thousands” of pounds were stolen during a stay at the luxury hotel last week.

Kerry, who has struggled with security concerns in the past, said her expensive Gucci luggage and other personal items were taken after she left her luggage with the hotel concierge.

Detailed the harrowing incident in their New! In her magazine column, she recounted how she and her fiancé, Ryan Mahoney, went out to lunch while waiting for their room to be ready, only to return to find their possessions missing.

“We checked into the hotel, which I won’t name, and since our room wasn’t ready, we left our luggage with the concierge and grabbed some lunch,” she wrote.

The ordeal devastated the star and triggered a wave of emotions. “It was so triggering for me and I felt very emotional afterwards. It’s just so scary to think that you’re not safe,” she continued.

The experience has left Kerry understandably vulnerable, admitting: “When something like this happens I’m afraid to go out because I don’t want to be a target.”

Items stolen included her £1,200 Gucci holdall, her chronic back pain medication, her phone and her headphones. Kerry was devastated by the loss.

The robbery increases public attention on Kerry, who also recently addressed rumors about her behavior at Hugh Grant’s 64th birthday party.

Attendees at the star-studded event, which included Liz Hurley and Dame Joan Collins, raised eyebrows after Kerry shared a video of herself cracking jokes on Instagram.

The post led to some of her followers accusing her of being drunk or taking drugs – accusations that Kerry immediately denied.

She wrote in her New! Column in the magazine: “We had a lot of fun, he’s so sweet. I went to bed around 10:30 a.m. I can never manage a long night. Even though the next morning I posted a video on my Instagram joking and just chatting and so many people thought I was drunk or drugged!”

Kerry, who has spoken openly about her past struggles with addiction, was frustrated by the comments, explaining: “I couldn’t believe it, I don’t even drink alcohol and it was morning – I only had water!” It’s a bit annoying that I I have to constantly defend myself.”
