Eagle police arrest a man on charges of child enticement

EAGLE, Idaho – On Monday morning, the Eagle Police Department, with the help of Star Police and ACTION deputies from the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, arrested a man on charges of luring a child through the use of the Internet or other communication device and sexually exploiting a child . Both are criminal offenses.

Investigators believe there could be more victims.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office said 39-year-old Jarold Burris communicated inappropriately with a girl believed to be 15 years old, but was actually communicating with an Eagle police investigator. Detectives spoke with Burris from April 2024 to October 7th.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office reports that Burris traveled to meet with the suspected child at the Eagle Sports Complex. He was subsequently booked into the Ada County Jail.
