Enosburgh man pleads not guilty to fatal attack on parents

ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – An Enosburgh man pleaded not guilty Monday to killing his father and beating his mother with a baseball bat last week.

Jordan Lawyer was arrested by Vermont State Police on Friday and charged with second-degree murder and first-degree aggravated domestic violence stemming from the alleged attack that killed his father, Todd Lawyer, 54, and his mother, Robin Lawyer, 58. were killed. hospitalized.

Police found the victims Friday morning after a call about a disturbance at the attorney family’s shared home off Tyler Branch Road in Enosburgh. According to police, the lawyer attacked his parents with a baseball bat and was seen fleeing the property just before 9 a.m. He later crashed into a game warden’s vehicle and was taken into custody

An autopsy over the weekend confirmed that Todd Lawyer’s cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

Attorney is being held without bail.
