A food delivery driver in Munirka dies in a tragic accident Delhi News

New Delhi: A Food delivery manager died after being hit by a vehicle near southwest Delhi Munirka on Monday. He was crossing the street when the accident occurred. Police are investigating whether he was at work or drinking tea at a nearby stall.
The deceased was identified as Harendrawho lived with his family in RK Puram.
At 2:45 a.m. police received a PCR call. A team from the local police station rushed to the nearby spot DDA Apartments on the outer ring road.
“Upon arrival, we found that Harendra had been hit by an unknown vehicle. He was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital but was declared dead there,” police said.
During initial investigation, the vehicle in question was identified and a case was registered under BNS sections 281(1) (rash driving or riding on public way) and 106(1) (death due to negligence) at Kishangarh police station. Several teams were formed to solve the case. They are scanning the CCTV footage to determine the escape routes of the accused, police said.
Harendra is survived by his wife Chetna and their six-month-old son. His father, Suresh Chand Sharma, works at DDA. His untimely death has left his family in mourning. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward and help with the investigation.
Harendra’s elder brother Sanjay explained that the former worked as a multipurpose health worker in a hospital in south Delhi. He used to work nights as a food delivery person. “He used to only sleep for a few hours,” Sanjay said.
“As a breadwinner, Harendra wanted to give his wife and child a better life. He recently became a father and has been working hard to earn more money and provide a comfortable future for his family,” he added.
On Monday morning, the family received a devastating call from police about the accident. His wife and other family members rushed to the hospital where they received the heartbreaking news of Harendra’s death.
