A Marion man was killed in a crash, police said

MARION, Va. (WCYB) — A Marion man was killed in a crash Sunday, according to Virginia State Police.

According to police, the accident occurred in the 400 block of Stoney Battery Road in Smyth County at 7:18 p.m.

Authorities said a 2018 Ford F150 driven by 35-year-old Jason Greer was traveling southbound when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Police said Greer died at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
