One dead after fatal collision in Beaufort County

BEAUFORT COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – One person is dead after a collision Monday morning.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. on US Highway 278 near Wild Horse Road.

Officials say the person was driving west when he left the road and struck a tree.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle.

Her identity has not been released at this time.
