GenSan couple died after stabbing each other

A couple in General Santos City was found dead in their home after they allegedly stabbed each other, according to police.

According to the report by Alan Domingo of GMA Regional TV in Saksi on Monday, the victims’ neighbors said the incident arose from an argument between the two.

The financial problems of the live-in partners are some of the aspects police are investigating as the cause of the fatal brawl.

“According to the statements of the people there, it was the woman who attacked first, and the man took the knife from her and stabbed her too,” said Police Maj. Ari Noel Cardos, commander of the PS-3 General Santos Police Station.

“There are actually other versions of the incident. But they are still both victims in this case,” he added.

The woman suffered three stab wounds to the neck and the man was stabbed once in the chest.

A knife was recovered from the crime scene and was believed to have been used in the fatal exchange.

“If there is further evidence, we will conduct a further investigation,” Cardos said. —Vince Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
