Officials are investigating after child found dead in North Carolina home, mother in critical condition

MACON COUNTY, NC (FOX Carolina) – The Macon County Sheriff’s Office said an investigation is underway after an incident occurred at a home on Sunday.

The sheriff’s office said the 7-year-old boy was found dead in his home and his mother was flown to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Officials said this is an ongoing investigation.
