Limerick sets the stage for a spooky Halloween – check out the ten biggest spooky moments!

Kicking off the festivities on October 26th is the Lumen Street Theater’s Fire and Shadow Parade, where the city’s streets come to life with ghosts, ghouls and hundreds of onlookers dressed in their spookiest costumes.

For those looking for a scare, Limerick’s Scare Factory runs from October 17th to 31st, while Castleconnell Fright Fest’s Scary Trail takes place on Sunday October 27th.

Families and friends can also take part in unique activities such as “Bats in the City” on October 29, which brings “magical myths about bats and spooky stories” to life while walking along the riverfront. If you are a horror film fan, you can indulge in horror film music by candlelight at St. Mary’s Cathedral on October 31st.

The Halloween fun continues with the Curraghchase Pumpkin Patch from October 12th and Liskennett Halloween Farm in Granagh from October 26th, while the home of Hattie O’Goodspell, Munster’s beloved witch, is open to the family from October 24th is open.

Sports enthusiasts can even take a night kayaking trip on the River Shannon from November 1st to 3rd.

For the creative types, Barnagh Greenway Hub is offering Halloween pottery painting on October 28th, while Limerick City Library is hosting Halloween Arts & Crafts from October 30th.
