Two men were mowed down while helping a crash victim on Washington Boulevard

The driver involved in the deaths of two men following a collision on Washington Boulevard in St. Andrew on Saturday, September 28, has been charged.

He is Tor Anuar McIntosh from Rovan Heights, Kingston 6. He is charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

According to reports from Duhaney Park Police, at approximately 3:35 a.m. two motorists stopped in the roadway to assist another motorist who was in an accident.

The two men were reportedly standing on the side of the road when they were hit by a car. The injured men were both taken to hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.

They have since been identified as 37-year-old Javaughn Rodney, a motor vehicle inspector of Dagwood Place, Ebonyville in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, and 50-year-old businessman Mark Garrick of Rudolph Avenue, 20 Kingston.

The driver of the car was arrested after the accident. After an investigation, charges were brought against him. His court date is currently being set.
