A man is killed during a drive-by in Englewood

A man was killed in a shooting early Monday in Englewood on the South Side.

At about 12:55 p.m., the 25-year-old man was on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of West 65th Street when a silver car pulled up and someone inside opened fire, shooting him in the head and chest, Chicago police said.

He died at the scene of the accident, the police said.

No one was in custody and Area One detectives are investigating.
