Devara Worldwide Box Office Collections 2nd Weekend: Jr NTR’s sea adventure drama picks up GOOD HOLD; The Rs 350 Crore mark will soon be reached

Jr. NTR-hosted film Devara Part 1 has performed strongly in its second weekend at the global box office. The sea adventure action drama, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, has grossed around Rs 36 crore worldwide in its second weekend. The total box office collection of ‘Devara’ currently stands at Rs 341.50 crore, of which Rs 270 crore came from domestic markets while international markets contributed around Rs 71.50 crore.

Devara Part 1 mints Rs 33 crore in the second weekend and has crossed the Rs 270 crore mark in India

After raking in a whopping Rs 237 crore at the Indian box office in its first week, the Koratala Siva-directed latest mass action film added Rs 33 crore in its second weekend. The film started its second weekend by grossing Rs 7.25 crore on the 8th day. Furthermore, it witnessed an upward trend and collected Rs 11 Crore and Rs 14.75 Crore on Days 9 and 10 respectively, taking its second weekend sales to reach Rs 33 Crore in India.

The total collection of Devara Part 1 has reached Rs 270 crore gross at the domestic box office within 10 days of release.

Devara Part 1 performs best in Telugu but average in Hindi

Jr NTR movie was best performed in its original language: Telugu. It remained an average in Hindi where it earned around Rs 50 crore in 10 days. The action drama failed to particularly attract audiences in Tamil and Malayalam, where local films – Ajayante Randam Moshanam, Kishkindha Kaandam, Lubber Pandhu and Meiyazhagan – performed best.

Devara collected Rs 3 crore in international markets in its second weekend, taking its total overseas box office collection to Rs 71.50 crore. It did reasonably well in foreign territories thanks to a great opening day.

Devara Part 1 should take advantage of the Dussehra holidays and aim to complete at Rs 390

The film is bankrolled by NTR Arts and is expected to do well in the coming days thanks to the nationwide Dussehra holiday. However, expect new releases from next weekend – Vettaiyan, Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.

The film is expected to gross around Rs 390 crore worldwide, which is certainly good considering the roller coaster ride it has had during its theatrical run.

The film received mixed word of mouth but did well at the ticket counter, thanks to Jr NTR’s huge fan following. Overall, Devara Part 1 is now a success. The makers should greenlight the second part with confidence; However, better execution is expected this time.

About Devara Part 1

Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR, tells the story of a man who is both feared and respected in four villages in a coastal region called Devara. The film follows his journey as a bandit and how he eventually turns against crime and becomes an urban legend.

Because of his fearsome reputation, other villagers are reluctant to commit crimes while several opponents fight to regain control. In the midst of this, his son Vara tries to build a life that is in stark contrast to his father’s personality and legacy.

The rest of the film revolves around Devara’s opponents attempting to subjugate him and weaken his legendary status, while the enigmatic figure hides among them, ready to defend his position.
