The lockdown was lifted after a man was arrested over shootings in southern Jordan

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah – A shelter-in-place warning was sent out to residents of South Jordan on Sunday evening, but it has since been lifted and the suspect involved has been arrested.

South Jordan police said the alert was sent out around 8:15 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired at a home near 9570 S. 4800 West.

Nobody was injured. The suspect, a man, was eventually taken into police custody. Police said they got him to leave the apartment after a phone conversation and he surrendered peacefully.

An investigation is ongoing and no further information was immediately available, but officials said there is no danger to the public at this time.
