Future Ukrainian commanders improve their trench attack skills in British training

Under the guidance of Finnish and Australian instructors, future platoon commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are improving their tactical skills and mastering key techniques and tactics for storming enemy trenches as part of the multinational Operation Interflex.

This was announced by the General Staff, reports Ukrinform.

As already mentioned, the real battles take place in the trenches and require the highest level of skill.

“First, the soldiers are shown the basic methods of storming trenches at the platoon level, methods of cover by fire support groups, the main aspects of processing and analyzing reconnaissance data, assessing the situation on the battlefield, developing terrain plans, etc. “It is also the “Preparation of a plan to storm enemy trenches was discussed,” the report said.

In addition, the rules for dealing with wounded and careful movement in the trench network are an important element of trench operations.

After the theoretical part, the platoon leaders move on to the planning phase, taking into account all the necessary information. They practically practice attacks both during the day and at night, improving coordination.

“Thanks to these courses, our soldiers improve all the necessary skills required to liberate the Ukrainian lands from the enemy,” the report said.

The General Staff thanked partners from Australia and Finland for their support and joint work in training Ukrainian recruits.

As Ukrinform previously reported, the United Kingdom, with the support of 12 partner countries, has trained more than 40,000 Ukrainian Defense Forces soldiers over the past two years as part of the multinational training operation Interflex.
