Diddy’s mother talks about his arrest and lawsuits

Diddyis mom, Janice CombsShe has made her first statement about his legal problems. Janice is breaking her silence amid her son’s mounting lawsuits, which began when his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura sued him in November 2023. Janice Combs talks about Diddy’s settlement with Cassie

Janice made her statement Local 10 News on Sunday (October 6) via attorney Natlie Figgers. She had strong words about how the public seemingly crucified the producer before his trial.

“I come to you today as someone who is devastated and deeply saddened by the allegations made against my son Sean Combs. It is heartbreaking to see my son being judged not for the truth, but for a narrative based on lies. Witnessing what appears to be a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable for words. Like every person, my son deserves to be in court, to finally argue his side and prove his innocence.

Continuing her testimony, Janice Combs said Sean wasn’t perfect. The mother admitted that Diddy lied about domestic violence, particularly his 2016 attack on Cassie in a hotel hallway. Earlier this year, CNN released never-before-seen footage of the producer kicking, punching and throwing a glass vase at his ex-singer.

“Sometimes truth and lies are so closely linked that it is fearful to admit part of the story, especially when that truth is outside the norm or too complicated to be believed.” Janice said. She added that she believed he reached an agreement with Cassie for these reasons and that this agreement created a domino effect on today’s events.

Mom says her famous son isn’t a monster

As previously reported, Diddy has been locked up since September 16th. Two judges in Manhattan have already denied him bail. Diddy’s legal team reportedly filed a notice of appeal with the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in the Southern District of New York on Monday (September 29), according to USA TODAY. This is the third time he has been placed under house arrest pending the start of his trial. Sean has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Janice Combs also reiterated in her statement that no one is immune from “fear or mistakes.” She again said Diddy’s failure to disclose the domestic violence does not automatically mean he is guilty of the allegations in his indictment or the ongoing lawsuits.

“Watching the world joke and laugh at my son’s life crumbling before our eyes is something I will never forget. It is truly excruciating to see the world turn against my son so quickly and easily because of lies and misunderstandings, without ever hearing his side or giving him the opportunity to present his side.”

Additionally, Diddy’s mother said the quick settlement of Cassie’s lawsuit sent people looking for a “payday.” “This injustice was unbearable for our family” she wrote.

“My son is not the monster they made him out to be and he deserves the chance to speak his side. I can only pray that I am alive to see him speak his truth and be vindicated,” Mama Combs wrote.
