An accident blocks traffic in northern Nevada northeast of Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado Springs police are investigating the cause of a crash that caused a traffic jam on a busy road Sunday evening.

It happened in Nevada, near Mt. View Lane, south of the intersection of Nevada and Garden of the Gods.

Police told 11 News the incident involved two cars and occurred when one vehicle turned left in front of another vehicle. So far they are not sure whether alcohol played a role in the accident.

They said no one was taken to the hospital, but there was some traffic backup, with a detour at Nevada and Winters Drive.
