Man charged with randomly shooting at car

A man who allegedly fired a gun at a vehicle in Rockhampton last month has been remanded in custody.

Park Avenue man Robert John Mitchell, 28, had his case heard in the Rocky Magistrate’s Court on Saturday and made no application for bail.

It is alleged that at around 10.30pm on September 29, a Mitsubishi Lancer was traveling west on Denham Street when Mitchell allegedly fired a single shot at a Holden Commodore.

According to police, the people in the vehicles did not know each other.

Nobody was injured.
