Lucedale woman killed in George County crash

BILOXI, Miss. (WDAM) – A 20-year-old Lucedale woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision in George County Friday evening.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol said it responded to a call about a crash on Mississippi 63 around 9:50 p.m. Friday.

According to MHP, 20-year-old Diana Givens was driving south on Mississippi 63 with her 20-year-old twin sister Destiny Givens in a 2011 Kia Forte when it collided with a 2017 Nissan Altima that the 21-year-old was driving Kaniya Carey of Pascagoula, who was traveling north on Mississippi 63.

Both Givens sisters were from Lucedale.

Destiny Givens suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Diana Givens and Carey were both transported to area hospitals.

MHP said the crash remains under investigation.
