Child accidentally shot in Sand Springs; another child in custody

SAND SPRINGS, OKLA (KTUL) — Sand Springs police responded to an accidental shooting of a child Sunday morning.

According to SSPD, another child was taken into custody following a crime scene analysis.

The shooting occurred around 10:57 a.m

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the investigation and it is up to the district attorney to decide whether to file charges.

The Tulsa Bomb Squad was called after a suspicious item was also found in the home.

It turned out it wasn’t a threat.

SSPD believes this is an isolated incident.
