Bhopal: Two men raped two friends who wanted to attend the nature visit Satna District. While one managed to escape after the incident, the other was found hanging from a tree the next day.
The police arrested both defendants on Sunday.
The incident occurred in a village below Majhgawan Police On October 2, they arrived at the railway station in Satna district. Both girls, friends aged 18 and 23, went out to answer nature’s call but were raped by the defendants, aged 21 and 19.
“The older girl, 23 years old, managed to escape and reached the house of one of her relatives where she spent the night.
The next day, she went to her house and informed her relatives. Her relatives had already registered a missing person report for her and rushed to the police. Based on their complaint, a case was registered against both the accused and an investigation was initiated. Meanwhile, the other girl, who was 18 years old, was found hanging from a tree. “A case has been registered and the post-mortem report also confirmed rape,” Majhgawan police station officer Ashish Dhurvey told TOI. Police arrested both the accused on Sunday and they were produced before the court, which sent them to jail, sources said.
