Elderly beggar found with ₹1.5 lakh in his pocket after accident | Kolkata News

Kolkata: An elderly woman who was begging on the street sustained injuries in an accident on Taki Road Deganga In North 24 Parganas An abduction was discovered on Sunday morning 1.5 lakh rupees in her pocket.
Local sources said the homeless woman was found injured by pedestrians around 8 a.m. on Sunday. The locals immediately alerted Deganga police station and took her to Deganga Bishwanathpur Gramin Hospital for treatment. During medical examination, doctors found over 1.5 lakh rupees in bundles of Rs 100, 200 and 500 notes in her bag.
Police have confiscated the cash for investigation. The woman was later shifted to Barasat District Hospital after her condition deteriorated. TNN
