Below Deck Down Under Season 3 will be a flop (The Show Needs Aesha Scott)

Aesha Scott is one of the most visible Below Deck Down Under stars, and the next season of the show might fail without them. Below Deck Down Under Season 3 should begin soon, and Captain Jason Chambers will be back at the helm of the hit Bravo spin-off. However, Aesha worked with Captain Sandy Yawn on the Mustique in Below deck Mediterranean Season 9. There are signs that Aesha will return Below deck Mediterranean Season 10, meaning she couldn’t possibly appear in it too Below Deck Down Under.

Below Deck Down Under Season 2 was marked by sexual misconduct. Boatswain Luke Jones was fired after attempting to sexually assault Margot Sisson in her cabin while she slept. To make matters worse, Laura Bileskalne was fired for her misconduct and defended Luke after the show. Captain Jason handled the situation quickly and effectively, but still left a mark on the Australian-based cast and crew. Because of this, Aesha’s absence could spell trouble for the Bravo spin-off.

Aesha is not returning as Chief Stew

It’s unlikely that Aesha will return as Chief Stew Below Deck Down Under gave up her appearance Below deck Mediterranean Season 9. She and Captain Sandy work well together, and although there were some clear problems between Bri Muller and Elena “Ellie” Dubaich, Aesha was able to diffuse their feud. Aesha also worked with a new actress, Carrie O’Neill, to complete the charter season.

Additionally, there were no issues of sexual misconduct Below deck Mediterranean Season 9 as if it existed Below Deck Down Under Season 2. Aesha was present during the entire Luke and Margot debacle and may want to avoid a crew that has had harassment issues. She can’t handle back-to-back charter seasons and her return Below deck Mediterranean is more likely.

There isn’t much hype about Below Deck Down Under Season 3

The franchise focuses more on below deck sailing yachts

There was very little hype surrounding the topic Below Deck Down Under Season 3. During Below deck Mediterranean Season 9 has just ended, there is expected to be more news about the spin-off. Much of the attention has shifted to this Below deck sailing yachtparticularly the lack of the return of fan favorite Colin Macrae and the fallout from his relationship with Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher. Additionally, there is resistance to Gary King’s return after he made allegations of sexual misconduct last season.

The success of the previous ones Below Deck Down Under The seasons depended on convincing crew members like Aesha. If Season 3 lacks standouts alongside Captain Jason or fails to introduce new dynamics, it may be difficult to maintain attention. At the moment there is very little news about the new season.

What producers can do to make the third season of Below Deck Down Under a success

You need entertaining personalities

Bravo producers need to step up their game Below Deck Down Under Season 3 on peacock a success. The series often depends on the popularity of its most famous cast members. The loss of Chief Stew Aesha is a huge blowbut Captain Jason is a likeable character. Producers need to cast dynamic and entertaining crew members to fill Aesha’s shoes.

Additionally, they need to vet cast members to avoid a situation like last season, where two cast members were fired due to allegations of sexual misconduct. There are safety issues among the cast and crew, and producers would be wise to focus on those issues. Below Deck Down Under can survive a season without Aesha, but it will be an uphill battle.
