One person died after the crash in Harlan County

HARLAN Co., Ky. (WYMT) – One person was killed in a crash in Harlan County on Sunday.

The Harlan County Coroner’s Office said the accident occurred at 12:30 p.m. on Highway 2005 in the Pathfork Community.

Richard Collis II, 50, was pronounced dead by Coroner John Derrick Noe at 1:20 p.m

Officials said Collis was driving and was reported missing when he didn’t come home.

A person searching for Collis said he found the truck over an embankment.

The Coroner’s Office and Kentucky State Police are continuing the investigation.
