Police identify man killed by WeGo Star commuter train

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man was killed after he was struck by a WeGo Star commuter train on Friday, the Lebanon Police Department (LPD) confirms.

According to LPD, 41-year-old James Joplin Jr. was confirmed dead at the scene.

The collision occurred near Martha station and caused train service delays.

According to a WeGo spokesman, no one on the train was injured.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing, LPD said.
